Who is it for?

  • Beginners – If you have no idea how to decorate a cake but want to try.

What is so special about YummyArts?

  • It’s truly a website dedicated to cake and cookie decorating enthusiasts. All the resources you need in one website. The ultimate cake and cookie decorating support system.
  • You won’t find online cake decorating lessons anywhere else. Visually learning from a video is by far better than trying to learn from a book. You get a free video added to your library every month.
  • Full email support for questions.
  • Want to learn how to make a certain kind of cake, just send them a video request.
  • They compiled all the questions they received over the years, including the answers they gave and then created a search engine (called Yummy Search) that allows you to search all that data about cake decorating. So if you are looking for something about cake decorating such as gumpaste or fondant, you can be sure your search turns up relevant answers. If you search using google, you may have to waste time sifting out the ads and irrelevant searches.
  • Contests and giveaways for members only.

TESTIMONIALS
What are people saying about YummyArts? The feedback below are shared by people who are not compensated in any way for their opinions.

Between the free videos and the additional videos I’ve purchased, my skills have come a long way, especially in fondant and gum paste. There’s a lot more to yummy arts, of course– but it’s the video library that has really made a substantial impact on my decorating skills and abilities. It’s also inspired me to try new things. I got excited by the panoramic sugar egg “how to” video and went nuts for a while with them, as anyone who looks in my photo gallery can see.

Yummy Arts is free for 30 days ( if you do not want to pay for a membership just remember to cancel 4 days before you joined up) and in that 30 days I have learned a lot, I have decided to stay a little longer with Yummy Arts. I truly wished I would have found Yummy Arts when I first began decorating. I now know what I was doing wrong with my mmf fondant, how to build a large topsy turvy cake ( the ones that you see on The Food Network Challenge) and I could go on with my list. I was lucky to have joined with they were having their birthday bash and the Libary with all the videos were all turned on for free for 24 hours. I did not clean house that day. I learned so much that day!!

I’m not a member, but I did one of those 30 day trial memberships to see what it was like. There are a few places you can go to for free and I did glean some new and interesting information from the site, but most of the videos are for sale. That is the whole point. You can see only little snippets like you get in there emails. I guess I was under the impression that you could look at everything in the “Library” is you were a member, which just isn’t so. Disappointed for that.

I can tell you that it is not a scam, and that it is worth every penny. I have been a member of Yummy Arts for 1 1/2 years, and have learned nearly everything I kow about cake decorating from there. They have tons of free instructional videos, as well as more that can be purchased. The forum is WONDERFUL. Everyone is extremely friendly and encouraging, and so willing to share. If I ever have a question, I post it and usually get answers the same day. They have giveaways and contests all the time. I just one their last main contest. They are giving me an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas to go to a cake decorating convention/classes called cake camp in September. I am in Western Australia, so this is a very generous prize. If your Mother wants to get into cake/cookie/chocolate decorating, then Yummy Arts is well worth the money, and would be an excellent gift.

The Negatives Side To Joining As A Member

  • You have to acquire all the ingredients and tools yourself. Unlike cake decorating classes where everything is provided.
  • Not all the videos in the library is free. Some you can only access after purchase. Members do get special discounts though.

MY VERDICT
The one thing that really sets this website apart from all other cake decorating websites is the online videos and one-on-one email support. You will definitely learn better by watching someone demonstrate a technique compared to reading instructions from a book or looking at pictures. Some of you may not find it feasible to fork out USD19.95 a month for the membership fees. However, if you can afford it and are serious about cake making and decorating, it’s worth your while to join as a member. If you are not sure whether you will benefit from the membership, you can try it out for 30 days FREE.  Soon you’ll be churning out delicious and professional looking cakes and cookies. Don’t be surprise if people start to order cakes from you.
